Thank you San Diego & North Park for 88 years of beautiful memories!

Peking Restaurant is officially closed for business. These last 3 months have been so incredibly heartwarming and heartbreaking as so many of you came in to share your stories and say your goodbyes. It has been an absolute pleasure knowing you all and serving you through the generations. We will miss you all. Thank you for welcoming us into your lives and making us a part of your tradition.

Wishing you all the best,
Peking Staff

P.S. We will update our facebook page from time to time to keep in touch. Please say hello some time!

We're still here

Some of you may have read an article a few months ago in the San Diego Reader listing us as the oldest restaurant in San Diego. We are thrilled to be declared the oldest restaurant in San Diego, however upon reading the article ourselves, we found Mr. Larson's segment to be an inaccurate depiction of our family and business history and contained misconstrued facts from our interview. We are deeply touched by all your concerns and are happy to say that we have no plans of closing anytime soon. :)

His website California Through My Lens  has an ever growing guide to what to do, eat & see in California and we couldn't be more excited that he gave us a try! Thank you Josh and his lovely wife Amie for the amazing write up! We can't wait to see you again and follow you as you explore all of California :)

Happy New Year!

2015 was an exciting year for us with a ton of new faces and heartfelt regulars. We were busier than ever this holiday season but with the patience and kindness of all you wonderful people, we got through it (slowly but surely). We cannot express how grateful we are for such loyal patrons after all these years. Being a small family run business in the ever growing community of North Park has its challenges but we try our best to provide exceptional personable service. Thank you to those who keep the Peking tradition alive and to those who have just joined in. May this year be filled with love, happiness, family and laughter and incredible patrons like yourselves. Happy New Year!
