Happy New Year!

   2015 was an exciting year for us with a ton of new faces and heartfelt regulars. We were busier than ever this holiday season but with the patience and kindness of all you wonderful people, we got through it (slowly but surely). We cannot express how grateful we are for such loyal patrons after all these years. Being a small family run business in the ever growing community of North Park has its challenges but we try our best to provide exceptional personable service. Thank you to those who keep the Peking tradition alive and to those who have just joined in. May this year be filled with love, happiness, family and laughter and incredible patrons like yourselves. North Park After Dark

Stop by on Thursday August 20th from 5-9pm with your shop hop card to collect a stamp from us! This is our first time participating and very excited to see some new and familiar faces!

It's time for some repairs to our old building! Come get your Peking fix before it's too late!

Trying something new

In observance of the Chinese New Year celebration, Peking Restaurant will be closed to the general public from 5:00-6:30pm today; unless you have made a reservation. We are at capacity with reservations for this event. All takeout orders and walk-in parties will resume at 6:45pm. Thank you!

Xmas Eve 2014

Yesterday was quite possibly the busiest night in Peking history! Families waited over 40 minutes for tables, takeout orders took up to 60 minutes....but incredibly enough, everyone who came in was amazingly patient, kind, and understanding. We want to express our deepest gratitude & appreciation to all those who showered us with smiles and the holiday spirit. We are so SOOOO lucky to go into our 84th year with such wonderful and loyal patrons. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Due to the likelihood of over eating this week...we will be closed for a couple days to digest :)

Closed for repairs

Due to repairs, we will be closed for a few days this coming week. Sorry for any inconvenience & hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend!

Closing for vacation

Thank you to those who made it out to one of our four Chinese New Year celebrations! We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we loved seeing all the excitement in the room. Please mark your calendars as we will be closing for vacation on the following dates:

Sunday March 9th closing at 5pm

March 10th - 18th CLOSED

We'll see everyone on or after March 19th! Have a wonderful week and a safe and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

2014 Year of the Horse!

Gung Hay Fat Choy! Chinese New Year has passed but we're celebrating throughout February and March! We're gearing up for our 2nd performance of the year with the Lucky Lion Dancers so please make note of the following dates as there will be limited seating starting at 5pm:

 Sunday 3/2

Our first performance for the New Year with our great friends the San Diego Lucky Lion Dancers! It was a full house with excitement, laughter, smiles and even tears (from a couple little ones) If you missed the show tonight, stop by the next two Saturdays : 2/4 & 2/11!!!

Hong Kong trained and ninja fury fast, Guy and Simon have been cooking up a storm at Peking for over 25 years.

Some helpful information...

1. We do accept credit cards: Visa + Mastercard. (minimum $10 charge)

2. Reservations are appreciated for parties of 7 or more.

3. We offer take-out, sorry no delivery.

4. Our menu is not the most vegetarian friendly, but we will do our best to accommodate you.

5. Parking can be a challenge, for take-out orders, feel free to call us when you arrive and we will provide curbside service.

6. The difference between Lo Mein and Chow Mein you ask?
Lo Mein: Soft noodles, with cabbage and bean sprouts
Chow Mein: Soft or crispy noodles (or rice) 
       with bean sprouts, celery, onion (Regular)
       with bean sprouts, celery, onion, bok choy, mushrooms, water
       chestnuts, pea pods (Special)
